Honey buffalo meatballs

Made these tonight, and it was simple and so tasty! Slow-Cooker-Honey-Buffalo-Meatballs-05

Meatballs:

2 pounds lean ground turkey

2 eggs

1 cup seasoned bread crumbs

1/3 cup dry minced onion

1/3 cup milk

1 tablespoon coconut sugar

1 tsp EACH garlic pwdr, onion pwdr, salt

1/2 tsp EACH chili pwdr, smoked paprika, ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon pepper

Directions: Whisk eggs, then add all ingredients together. (Using hands is best). Roll into balls and place on foil-lined baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes at 450 degrees. Place in bottom of slow cooker.best-ever-baked-meatballs-square

Sauce:

1/4 cup Frank’s Red Hot Original Sauce, (I used less so the kids would actually eat it)

1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon honey or agave

1/4 cup apricot preserves (I used the mango peach orange lower sugar one from Costco)

1/4 cup coconut sugar

2 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce

1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch91l7eam4k1L._SY679_

Directions: Whisk all ingredients together then pour over meatballs in slow cooker. Cook on low for 2 hours. (Add more hot sauce if needed). We served this over jasmine rice, with a side salad. Super yummy and much healthier than standard meatballs!
